Rule 32: Enjoy the little things in life.

What about rules 1-31?

So you’re probably asking yourself, why call this site Rule 32?  It goes back to one of my new favorite movies, Zombieland.  Columbus (Jesse Eisenburg) has his list of rules to surviving the zombie apocalypse.  Rule 1 is Cardio, rule 2 is the Doubletap, rule 3 is ‘Beware of bathrooms’ etc.  After meeting up with Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson), one of their conversations goes like this:

Tallahassee: I tell you kid, you’ve gotta enjoy the little things in life.

Columbus: Now, I don’t usually take advice from guys who look like Yosemite Sam, but I’m gonna write that down.  Rule 32: Enjoy the little things.

 

Since then, I’ve kinda taken that advice to heart.  I’m out of college, I’ve got a job, a place to stay, a dog.  I’ve got most of my bases covered.  So there’s no real next big step (except marriage, but let’s not talk about that).  So enjoying life comes down to enjoying the little things in life.  Movies, TV show, my dog, friends, video games, a nice walk, a new CD etc.  You get the picture.  So that’s what you’ll find here.  Things I enjoy, and hope you do too.
